My spirit strives for silence, Within its harmony my soul breathes, In listening I may hear the whispers of life.

Nothing can quite describe moments like these witnessing the profound stillness of early morning as the sun makes its way over the horizon and through earths thin atmosphere. The suns rays spill over a sea of clouds illuminating and awakening all that exists in a seemingly tangible yet fleeting moment so brief yet so intensely NOW.

The natural world has always held a very special place in my heart. As a very young boy my father would take my brother and me camping in the wilderness. I vividly remember the incredible sights, sounds and smells of this sacred natural world and I was forever changed.

I would ask my Dad during hikes as a child what it was I felt and saw behind this natural world that moved me so deeply. As a pure and unconditioned soul I knew I was connecting to something quite sacred. The impact of these experiences were profound and instilled a since of awe and wonder that remains with me still to this day.

When my mother handed me a cello at a very early age, it was a match made in heaven, and I just seemed to know that music in some way was going to be a big part of my life.

Today I find these parts of my life weaving together - I feel a strong calling to explore the heart of the natural world, to go deep in these mountains and to write music that exemplifies the essence behind nature and reflects the grandness of our awe-inspiring universe.
