Excited to share my latest collaborative project featuring my latest composition, Sahale, accompanied by Shawn Reeders inspired photographic work. This creation is about reconnecting with the essence behind nature and the universe. It's about adventure and humanities quest to reach deeper, to explore and reconnect to that spacious space behind form and existence, the beautiful mystery. It is deeply reflective of what I see and feel behind nature in the wildest, most sacred corners of our universe and in the great expanses of the unknown. Let the soaring melodies and energy of the music and images lift you as we take you on a journey far and away. Happy Earth Day! I am incredibly excited to be releasing new music with the world today! This new composition, “Sahale,” named after the wilderness area of the North Cascades of Washington State encompasses so many aspects of life. It is deeply reflective of what I see and feel behind nature in the wildest, most sacred corners of our universe and in the great expanses of the unknown. Let the soaring melodies and energy of this music lift you as I take you on a journey far and away to a magical, sacred and high ground I call, "Sahale."
In addition to the release of my latest album, "Passages," this year I will be releasing a short run DVD titled, "Nature Films," featuring my music in recent films from around the world. Combined they have received over 1.5 million views on YouTube and Vimeo. Included will be films of Yosemite, Iceland, The Grand Canyon, New Zealand and much more! The album will be available at live shows I will be attending during my summer 2014 tour as well as online. Thank you for your support and for listening!
I am so inspired to see my music used in such beautiful ways. The imagery of solar storms in Iceland in this new time-lapse film by Henry Jun Wah Lee is absolutely breathtaking and could not be better fit to the energy I felt while writing this composition a few years back. It is an awesome visual representation of the turbulent beauty and dynamic power of storms as agents for change in nature and our lives. "Storms are agents of change. While often destructive and unpredictable, they also demonstrate the unyielding power of nature. They reveal nature's beauty and its hand in creating the landscapes we see today." - Henry Jun Wah Lee

One of the most impactful and inspiring collaborations to date has been sharing my music through the work of visual artist, Shawn Reeder, www.shawnreeder.com. I feel incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to work with this amazing, soulful artist and even more grateful to have developed a deep and lifelong friendship. The power of music never ceases to inspire and blow me away by its ability to bring people together, to unify, and remind us all of our highest potential and ability to bring out the best in humanity.
Spending lots of time outside, in nature, deep in the wilderness of some of the most remote places on the planet continues to be one of my deepest wells of inspiration. When I am in my studio, creating music for my upcoming album, images from my travels to places like these are what keeps my inspiration alive. Those serene moments experiencing the grand beauty of this amazing planet and feeling that oneness and connection to all that is through nature. I hope someday to write a song inspired by this high and sacred place and to be able to capture the depth of its beauty and deep serenity through music.
