About
Shaun is a distinguished cellist, performer, teacher, and composer with over 34 years of experience in contemporary music and film scoring. His versatile career encompasses performances with string quartets and chamber groups across a spectrum of styles, from classical to jazz, in addition to significant orchestral engagements, including collaborations with the Aspen Music Festival and the Henri Mancini Institute.

An accomplished composer and recording artist, Shaun has contributed to numerous music projects as a co-producer and collaborator, including nationally distributed albums alongside Emmy Award-winning artists. He has also composed for the Sundance Film Music Program and the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program, showcasing his talent in film composition.

Shaun's performances span a wide range of genres, incorporating jazz, romantic, classical, and popular styles, alongside original works. Notably, he has embraced the innovative art of live looping, creating intricate soundscapes that layer his cello in real-time. This technique allows him to explore the depths of musical expression, weaving together multiple melodic lines and harmonies that transform his solo performances into rich, immersive experiences.

He is also a co-creator of Shaun & Sara, a dynamic duo with vocalist and singer-songwriter Sara Kaiser, further highlighting his commitment to musical innovation and collaboration.
